Die Casting Process

Die Casting process is: Using machine, mold and metal alloy, unify the pressure, speed and time. Used in metal hot processing, the existence of pressure is the main characteristic of die casting process to distinguish other casting methods. Pressure Casting is a fast developing special casting method with no cutting in modern Metal Machining technology. It is a process of filling the mold with molten metal at high pressure and high speed, and crystallizing and solidifying at high pressure to form castings. High pressure and high speed are the main characteristics of pressure casting. The commonly used pressure is tens of MPa, and the filling speed (inner gate speed) is about 16 ~ 80 m/s. The filling time of the metal liquid in the mold cavity is very short, about 0.01 ~ 0.2 s.
