What Metal Materials can be suitable for Die Castings?

SCZY is one of the leading manufacturers of Die Casting processing, we have produced a lot of die casting parts, provided Aluminum Die Casting services for clients, aluminium die casting parts,Titanium die casting parts, Zinc Alloy Die Casting Parts, etc. The metal materials usually should be metal alloys, the main alloy materials for die-casting are tin, lead, zinc, aluminum, magnesium, copper, etc. Among of them, the Zinc and aluminum alloys are the most widely used, followed by magnesium and copper alloys. Currently, zinc, aluminum, and magnesium alloys are mainly used in the electronics industry. We would like to talk about the most three alloy materials frequently used nowadays as below.

Zinc Alloy Die Casting:
The molten state of zinc alloy has very good fluidity, with a low melting point of only 365 degrees. Various post-processing treatments, such as electroplating, can be carried out. Therefore, it has a wide range of uses, and it was used a lot in the mobile phone industry before, but because of its large ratio, the poor corrosion resistance is gradually eliminated by aluminum alloy. Commonly used alloys are 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7, and the most widely used is alloy 3.
Aluminum Alloy Die Casting:

Aluminum alloy has low density, but relatively high strength, which is close to or exceeds that of high-quality steel. It has good plasticity and can be processed into various profiles. It has excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in industry and its usage is second only to steel. The specific weight of aluminum alloy is only about 1/3 of that of iron, so it is very important in various industries, especially in the lightweight process of airplanes, ships, automobiles, and electronic instruments.

Magnesium Alloy Die Casting:

Magnesium alloy is composed of magnesium and other elements added. Its characteristics are: low density, high specific strength, large specific elastic modulus, good heat dissipation, good shock absorption, greater impact load capacity than aluminum alloy, and good resistance to organic matter and alkali corrosion. The specific gravity of magnesium is about 2/3 of that of aluminum and 1/4 of that of iron. Therefore, it is widely used in mobile phones, communication equipment and other electronic equipment, auto parts, and medical equipment. Actually, the most widely used is magnesium aluminum alloy, followed by magnesium manganese alloy and magnesium zinc zirconium alloy.
